| Well, I had a writing contest before CA on PF was destroyed. I knew many people were excited about it. However, I don't remember all the details. So instead, I'll start a new, completely different one. This one, you get a choice on what you want to write on. With Christmas and the New Year being so close to each other, Why not allow 2 contests in one. There'll be two categories, so you can technically enter twice. Category 1: Write a short story about a Pokemon Christmas Party, or even just a pokemon Christmas. It can be completely from the pokemon's perspective, or it can be from yours with your pokemon. Be creative. Category 2: Write a short Story about a Pokemon New Years Party, or just something to do with New Years eve or the day after. It can be completely from the pokemon's perspective, or it can be from yours with your pokemon. Be creative and have fun! Prize depends on how much the winning stories blow my socks off. Post your entries here, but use - Spoiler:
-
Spoiler tags
- Code:
[spoiler]Put story here[/spoiler]
Deadline is December 31! I'll hopefully post winners by Janurary 2~

| Here's a story I made. It took a few days, but it's finished - Spoiler:
-
My gray ears twitched. A faint, but audible sound had reached where I lie, looking up at the cloud dappled sky. I picked myself up, straining to hear what the sound was. Then I realized it must be Keldeo sending word of the New Year's Eve party there was to be tonight that will last until the next day. "Well, I guess I'll go..." I mumbled to myself, my scarlet-and-black stained fur rustled by the wind. A call from behind made me swing around. I almost smacked my head against the tree I had been lying against. "Zorua, don't be so loud!" I shouted to my annoying little brother. A devious smirk had crept across his face when he saw me. "Smacking our heads into trees, now are we Zoroark?" he asked laughingly. "Real funny," I muttered. My cyan eyes flickered to the horizon as I remembered Keldeo's call. "Did you hear about the New Year's Eve party?" I asked Zorua. "Oh yeah! I was just about to tell you! Well, are you gonna go?" he asked. "Yeah, I guess..." "Not, 'I guess', yes! You are going, right?" Zorua asked me, now serious. "Fine," I manage to say before he's gone. I shook my head. Zorua can be such a pain in the tail sometimes.
Soon, the sun had started to set, melting into the horizon and painting the sky a mix of scarlet, orange, and pink. A myriad of Pokémon had gathered from all regions to this spot, to celebrate the coming of the new year. I looked around, my eyes widening at the variety of Pokémon that had gathered. I hadn't expected this many Pokémon to have gathered here. Fear started to grasp at me with icy claws, paralyzing me to the spot. "Move Zoroark!" Zorua shouted from behind. Shakily I stepped a few paces forward for him to get pass. He scrambled past me hastily, excited about the party. I sat down and shook my head. "I can't do this. There're too many Pokémon here. I think I'm just gonna go ba- Oof!" As I was turning around, I bumped into another Pokémon. She had pink fur, with a red jewel on her head. I had never seen her kind before. "I'm sorry," I said, helping her get up. "It's okay, really!" She said cheerily. "So, who are you? I've never seen your kind before," I say casually. "I'm an Espeon!" She exclaims excitedly. "You?" "I'm a Zoroark," I say, and with that I accidentally change into an Espeon. "Cool!" Espeon exclaims. "So you're a shapeshifter?" "Kinda," I mew, changing back into my true form. "I can really only change after touching the Pokémon I change into. Only really experinced Zoroark can change into others without touching them," I explain. "That's so cool!" She exclaims once again. After recovering from her excitement of meeting me, she asks "So, why are you going this way? The party's that way." She flicks her tail to where all the Pokémon were gathered. "Oh, I was just going to leave. There're just too many Pokémon here," I say, a little embarrassed. "Don't be nervous! I was a little nervous when I started to travel here. But now I realize, it's not that bad. There will be so many new Pokémon to meet and friends to make!" she confesses. I nod my head, still doubtful. "Come on! I'll stay with you, if it makes you feel better," she teases. "Okay," I say reluctantly, hopping up on my feet. "You're not gonna regret deciding to stay. This is going to be so much fun!" Espeon exclaimes so loudly, that Treecko and Grovyle traveling in the trees above look down at us. Hey, this won't be so bad, right? I'm going to have some fun at this party.
As the sun finally set and the sky was speckled with the stars, the festivities really started. Fireworks, made by some fire types, lit up the sky. Underneath the shower of sparks from the fireworks, some Charizards perfromed a "fire dance", blowing fire and executing intricate moves with their wings, the fire seeming to dance across their skin. I watched in awe, my eyes sparkling. This really was something. In the huge lake that was occupied by thousands of water type Pokémon, a water show was going on at the same time. I could see Lapras, Kingdra, and Vaporeon moving around in the water and spouting drops of water across themselves in a beautiful dance. On the rocks that jutted out of the surface of the water were a series of bird Pokémon like Pidgeot, Chatot, and Unfezant chirping in harmony, the notes of their music dancing across the air. Turning to Espeon, I yowled into her ear, "This is amazing!" She shouted back at me, "Yeah! I told you it would be!" I chuckled. She was right, this really was going to be great. A wave of panic washed over me as I realized I didn't know where my brother was. "Oh know, oh know!" I shrieked, frantically calling his name. Of course, I recieved no answer, as no one would be able to here me amongst this racket. Espeon looked over at me, noticing the fear in my eyes. Hurrying me to the edge of the crowd, which took longer than you might expect, she asked me what was wrong. "It's my little brother, Zorua. I don't know where he is!" "I'm sure we'll find him," Espeon said, trying to calm me. "Amongst this crowd? No way." Espeon looked for the right words, but found none. Than, something hard dropped on my head. "Ow," I mumbled, looking at what had hit me. What I saw made me boil with rage and relief at the same time. It was a rock, with a smile ingraved into it, one I've seen before. "Zorua!" I yell, looking up and seeing his little face poking out from the branches. "Tee hee!" he laughs, jumping down. "So, who's your boyfriend Zoroark?" he asks tauntingly. "Espeon's a girl, you dumbo," I say, rolling my eyes. Espeon shrugs off Zorua's comment. "So, you're her brother?" she asks, meaning me. "Yep!" Zorua says in a jittery laugh. "Well, bye!" And just like that, the little prankster is gone. Ugh, when will he stop doing that?
The moon is high in the sky by now, and the festivities are reaching their end. Everyone is trying to stay awake until midnight, when what I hear, all the legendary Pokémon that I've only heard about in legends gather and perform a dance; I do not want to miss that, so I'm trying as hard as I can to stay awake, when my body is tired. Espeon nudges me, noticing a bright light in the sky. "Is that...a star?" she asks me. "I don't think so," I murmur back at her. Then, the light seems to get closer. More and more Pokémon notice it too. It gets brighter and brighter, shining as bright as the sun. Then it bursts into a rainbow of sparks showering down upon us all. Many Pokémon gasp in awe, myself being one of them. From that burst of light, red feathers start to protrude and a frilled head emerges. "I think...I think that's Ho-Oh!" Espeon exclaims, all the weariness gone from her body. A cry echos through the air as a massive white body emerges from the faraway sea, and starts to fly towards us. "What is that?" I shout. "It's Lugia!" Espeon cries out. A clap of thunder breaks through the air, and standing atop one of the cliffs is Raikou, soon followed by Suicune and Entei. A bright burst of lightning emerges from the stormclouds that gathered at Raikou's call, and electricity travels through the air. Then, Zekrom has appeared, followed by Reshiram. I can make out the form of Kyurem standing next to them. One by one, more legendary Pokémon appear, even the mythical Victini. I shake my head, over and over, not believing this could be real. But it is, and I know it. Soon, the dance commences, and it's like nothing I've ever seen before. It seems like lightning, wind, water, fire, and many more elements dance around them in beautiful harmony. Once the dance has ended, all of the Legendary Pokémon aim torward the sky and shoot off their most powerful attacks. A bright burst of light lights up the sky, and then fireworks start shooting off. "This is unreal," I breathe. I can't believe I was thinking about turning back. I would've missed so much!
Now, it's time to head home. Of course, Zorua wants to stay, but I tell him that there's nothing to stay for, except for the final song that the bird Pokémon start to sing. "Yes there is! Watch!" he shouts, running towards the rock where the bird Pokémon were gathered. He starts to talk them, I can't make out what he's saying. One of the Pidgeotto pick him up, and he swings onto its head. Once the song starts, I laugh real hard. 'Cause my little brother is standing atop a Pidgeotto's head, singing the song with them. I haven't seen anything funnier than that. Halfway through the song, he slips off the Pidgeotto's head, most likely from how tired he is. He's caught by a group of Swanna, thank Arceus. Picking him up, I thank the Swanna, and head back to where Espeon was. She was getting ready to leave, so I said my good byes. "This was so much fun!" she exclaims. "Yeah!" I agree. "Well, I'm going to get going. It's along way back to Hoenn, where I live. I had a lot of fun tonight, Zoroark. And I made a new friend," she adds, smiling. I nod. "Thank you for everything Espeon," I say, as she starts to leave. "You're welcome. I told you you wouldn't regret deciding to stay!" she calls with a grin. She starts to walk away, and I watch her, wondering how it was where she lived. After a few minutes have passed, I start to head home, Zorua asleep in my paws. I had a lot of fun tonight. Now, I welcome the new year and await for the next New Year's Eve party to come.

| Here is my Christmas one. Hope you all like it - Spoiler:
-
“Come on sleepyhead, it’s time to get up. We’ve got lots of work to do.” It was a voice I’ve heard for years. I opened my eyes to see a young woman with long brown hair standing over me. Her dark brown eyes could be seen through black rimmed glasses. Today she had on a dark blue long-sleeved shirt, a pair of ratty jeans, and black work boots. “Good morning Xavior,” she said with a smile, “breakfast is waiting.” Knowing Lumaria, she’d already been up for hours getting ready for the day’s chores, checking on the eggs, and letting me sleep in late. I jumped off the bed and followed her into the kitchen where she had breakfast was waiting for both of us, just like she said.
While I was eating I noticed her looking forlorn at a bunch large boxes sitting in the living room. She’d gotten them out of the closet over a month ago, but hadn’t had the time to get out its contents. Each box had something written on them, and though I didn’t know what they said I did know what was inside. Once we were both done eating she quickly did the dishes and walked out the door. Close on her heels, I followed her out to the barn and watched her grab a giant bag of Pokéfood. It was the same routine everyday; first we’d go feed the birds and other flying Pokémon, then out to the normal field, psychic, grass and bugs, fire, electric, fighting, and last but not least water. After feeding she would go back around to check on everyone. By then it would be time for supper and when that was done, bed. The entire time we were out, all I could think of were those boxes. She had been so excited to decorate the new place, but she’d just hadn’t had the time. I wish there was something I could do for her. I thought to myself. Then it dawned on me, Maybe there is…
After Lumaria had finally fallen asleep I snuck out to get some help. I walked all around the farm telling everyone to meet around the pond and to pass the word. I would need everyone’s help to make this work.
“Alright ‘pix, what’s up?” Ryuu asked when everyone had gathered. Similar murmurs rose up from all around the Charmeleon. “As many of you know, tomorrow is Christmas. Now Lumaria has wanted to decorate this place for a long while, but just hasn’t had the time. I say we do it. I mean, it’s the least we can do for her since she has done so much for us.” I waited a minute for it to sink in. “What do you guys think?”
Almost immediately a Lucario stepped out from the crowd. “I’m in.” Soon enough everyone else had agreed. “So what’s your plan?” A smile crept across my face as I looked around at all of these different Pokémon, all joining together to help this the best Christmas ever. “Alright, Takao, Machop, Aipom, Ryuu, Vulpix, and I will go in and…” After I explained the plan and made sure everyone knew their parts, we all went to work.
My group went in, grabbed the boxes as quietly as we could, and brought them outside. Well except Vulpix, who went and took my spot on Lumaria’s bed in order to keep her from getting suspicious. She was a little smaller than me, but it would hopefully keep her in bed long enough. Jigglypuff was on hand just in case.
While we were doing that Sandshrew and Trapinch were digging a hole next to the pond. All of the water Pokémon filled it with various water guns. Remoraid and Buneary used ice beam to turn the pond into an ice skating rink. Some of the younger ones jumped on it right away and slid around, laughing gleefully.
Once Takao opened the boxes three Pidgeys and Taillow dove in, grabbing garland and strings of lights. They passed them out amongst the other flying-types and set to work on the tree and the barn. With everyone’s help it didn’t take long for everything to be decorated.
We all stepped back and looked at our hard work, proud of what we’d done. “Wait a minute,” Zigzagoon said from the crowd, “something’s missing.”
“He’s right.” Houndour said.
“But what?” asked Rattata. But none of us knew.
We were all racking our brains when Pachirisu shouted out of the blue, “Snow!”
“Not for long.” Slowpoke said slowly. He and Clefairy both used blizzard and in moments snow covered the ground. It was perfect. As we all admired our work, Umbreon spoke up, “Great job everyone, and now go get some rest you earned it.” Knowing that she was right they all wandered off to their beds. She nudged me as I yawned. “That means you too, Xavier.” -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lumaria got up the next morning and started it just like any other. Her Vulpix was still sleeping at the foot of the bed so she left him there as she took a shower, got dressed, and checked on the eggs. When she was done making breakfast she went back in the bedroom to wake Xavier up only to find that it wasn’t him in bed. Instead it was his little girl looking up at her. This made her a little suspicious and worried. He’d slept with her every night ever since he was born.
“Where is your papa little one?” Lumaria asked Vulpix. She jumped off the bed and walked outside, Lumaria on her tail. She stopped in her tracks when she opened the door. The colored lights that decorated the barn and pine tree reflected off of the stark, white snow that covered the ground. All of the Pokémon that she had raised were scattered all around.
Tears started to fall from her eyes as Xavier trotted up to her. She picked him up and hugged him. He gently licked away her tears. “You guys did all of this?” she asked, looking down at him. A cacophony of sounds answered her, all from the Pokémon before her. Her legs gave out from under her, but before she could hit the ground Takao and Ryuu grabbed her. They set her down gently as she began to cry a little harder. They all looked at her worried and huddled around. After a few minutes Lumaria wiped away the tears. “Thank you. Thanks so much, all of you.”
Out of nowhere a snowball hit Lumaria in the back. She turned around to find Mime Jr. tossing another one up and down. “Oh, it’s on little girl.” she said gathering up snow for one of her own. This sparked a farm wide snowball fight, followed by ice skating and hot chocolate.
As they sat around a bonfire provided by Ponyta, Lumaria remembered that she had a surprise of her own. She quickly ran inside and, with the help of Machop, brought out a big red bag. “These are for you guys.” She opened up the bag to reveal presents for each and every one of them. “Merry Christmas everyone.”
